Lead data and signals: Oxygen vs Smartlead
Where does Smartlead get its lead data, and how does Oxygen's compare?
From its own SmartProspect database: a credit unlocks a verified email, or a phone for calls, from 2,000 a month on Base or 30,000 on Pro behind a $59 monthly add-on, included from Unlimited Smart. It names no provider count. Oxygen's waterfalls try 17 email and 13 phone providers on plan credits and charge only on a hit.
Does Smartlead have tables for building lead lists?
No. Leads sit in campaign and saved lists with up to 40 custom variables each, capped at 2,000 contacts on Base and 30,000 on Pro, and lists do not link, calculate or enrich. Oxygen's tables relate to each other, run formulas and fill enrichment and AI columns, up to 1,000,000 rows each on the $49 plan.
Does Smartlead track buying signals, and which does Oxygen capture?
Not as a self-serve feature. Its pages mention live intent signals, but SmartProspect documents only role, company and location filters, and hiring and website-visitor signals come with its managed service. Oxygen reads profile viewers, new followers and post reactions at no extra cost, and a signal can enroll a lead. See signals.
How big is Smartlead's own contact database?
300M+ verified business profiles, searchable in SmartProspect. Each unlocked contact takes a credit from an allowance that needs a $59 monthly add-on on Base and Pro and is included from Unlimited Smart. Oxygen has no database of its own; it searches through data providers on credits, and Apollo's database on your own key from the $99 plan.
