Find buyers

Find procurement managers by spend category and region

Procurement rarely picks the vendor and almost always decides whether you get paid on time. Reaching them early turns a three-month contract review into a two-week one.

try

Procurement is a real title at companies that buy physical things and a borrowed one everywhere else. A manufacturer with plants runs a purchasing department. A fifty person software company has a finance lead who signs the invoice and calls it procurement when a vendor asks who does.

So sector and footprint do the qualifying. Sites, headcount, and industry decide whether the function exists at all, and region decides which of several buyers covers the spend you care about. Settle both before the people lookup runs, or the list fills with administrators whose profile happens to say purchasing.

Example searches

Ask for it the way you'd say it

Every search below runs on the same hosted Tables, with the cost previewed before anything is spent.

  • Category and footprint

find purchasing managers at manufacturers with more than three sites in the united states

Site count is a company filter, so it runs before anything metered and keeps single-location firms out of the contact chain.

  • The regional buyer

for each of these accounts give me the procurement contact who covers northern europe

Region comes from where the buyer sits rather than the head office, which is what separates the right contact from a polite forward.

  • Who signs when nobody buys

if a company has no purchasing function give me the finance owner instead

The substitute is explicit and the found title stays on the row, so a controller never enters a cadence written for a category manager.

Plays

Three motions you can run this week

Each one is a chain of Oxygen primitives — the same hosted objects your workspace already has, composed.

  • Sector-gated buyer list

Only companies whose business actually needs somebody to run purchasing.

    1. 1Source by industry, site count, and headcount, then dedupe on normalized domain.
    2. 2Resolve the buying owner, verify the address, and enroll from the filtered view.

  • A phone lane for a phone audience

Buyers who answer a call get called instead of sitting unread in an inbox.

    1. 1Run the number column across the slice where a named buyer resolved, and nowhere else.
    2. 2Route those rows into a call step and leave the rest on email.

  • Put the buyer on the deal

The buying committee lives on the record instead of in one rep's memory.

    1. 1Resolve the procurement owner for every account with an open deal.
    2. 2Attach them to that deal as a stakeholder with the role they actually play.

Who you can reach

Roles you can find at procurement and purchasing managers

Reachability is per channel: a role marked for mobile is one the phone waterfall usually resolves, not a guarantee for every record.

Filters you can search on

  • Industry and what the business physically buys
  • Number of sites, plants, or warehouses
  • Headcount band and revenue band
  • Country, region, or metro area
  • Whether a procurement function exists
  • Seniority: VP, Director, or Manager
  • Title keywords across purchasing variants

Coverage follows the sector closely. Manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and public bodies keep named buyers with published addresses. Software and services companies mostly do not, and the row returns a finance or operations owner instead. Direct numbers are published more often for this group than for any software role.

Data sources

What the data actually comes from

Every value lands with its provider and cost recorded on the cell.

  • People Data Labs

Company and person records for sector, site footprint, and the purchasing titles inside a business.

  • Apollo

Buyer segments already built by category in your own Apollo account come in as a second people source.

  • LinkedIn Scraper

Profile reads to check which region or category a buyer actually covers before the message assumes one.

  • Blitz API

Opens both the work-email and the phone chain on a named buyer, which in these sectors is often published outright.

  • LeadMagic

The later lane, for rows where a buyer resolved but neither an address nor a number came back first time.

Run these on Oxygen's managed credits, or connect your own provider keys and pay the vendor directly — the same columns, the same runs, the same provenance either way. See every integration.

Limits

Where this stops

  • At software and services companies there is no procurement function to find. Those rows come back with a finance or operations owner, which is the person who actually signs anyway.
  • Category ownership is rarely published. Where a company splits buying across several people, expect to resolve the department head and work down from there by hand.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Does procurement decide, or just process?
Mostly process, with a veto. They rarely choose the tool and they always shape the terms, the security review, and the payment schedule, which is why reaching them early shortens a close rather than winning one.
Which industries actually have this role?
Anything that buys physical goods at volume: manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, construction, hospitality, and the public sector. Software companies usually do not, which is why the sector filter comes before the person lookup.
How do I find the buyer for one region?
Filter on where the person sits rather than where the company is registered. A global manufacturer often runs several buyers by geography, and the wrong one will forward your message into a queue.
Are phone numbers realistic here?
More often than for most roles on this site, because published switchboard and department numbers are common in these sectors. The number chain is a separate column at its own price, so run it on the resolved slice.
Can I record the whole buying committee?
Yes. Resolve each participant in a table and attach them to the deal as stakeholders with their role, so the committee is durable workspace state rather than something a rep remembers.
What if a company uses a buying group?
You will usually see the member company and not the group, since the group rarely publishes staff. Treat the member's operations or finance owner as the entry point and ask them who negotiates.
